Buffalo Bills UDFA #4: Tre Walker (WR, San Jose State) 5-11, 180 lbs.

Every season there is a WR in training camp that Bills fans fall in love with. Duke Williams, Cam Phillips, Brandon Reilly, Nick Easley, and Robert Foster just to name a few of those players in the past. Tre Walker could be that player in 2021. However, if you look at the list above most of those players never sniffed an NFL field, and even if their career has been widely uneventful.

Walker has the least chance to make this Buffalo Bills roster because the receiver room is such a strength for Buffalo. Buffalo kept six wide receivers last season and if you look at the roster right now you can guarantee that Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley, Emmanual Sanders, and Gabe Davis lock up four of those spots. The other two will be a battle between Isaiah McKenzie, Jake Kumerow, Isaiah Hodgins, Duke Williams, Tanner Gentry, Brandon Powell, Marquez Stevenson, and Walker.

Walker will have to pull off some training camp heroics that have never seen before to sniff the 53-man roster. Matter of fact, he may have to pull off some miracle in camp to make the practice squad. This is not a knock on the ability of Walker, but more a testament to the talent and consistency the Bills have at the Wide Receiver position.

Walker is a versatile player and can line up in multiple receiver positions across the offensive. Without any special physical traits, Walker is a more well-rounded player who is an above-average deep threat due to his solid speed and solid catch radius. For more on Walker check out his UDFA player profile.

Walker does not have much chance to make the roster. Walker is instead playing for a spot on the practice squad as a developmental player. When you look at the names he is competing with for one or two available spots on the practice squad he likely will not make the practice squad this training camp.

Prediction: Cut
