Buffalo Bills UDFA #3: Quintin Morris (TE, Bowling Green) 6-2, 252 lbs.

The most intriguing UDFA because of the lack of depth at the position he plays and the upside he has as a player Quintin Morris is the guy of this group who can make this Buffalo Bills team. A former wide receiver Morris switched to Tight End in 2019 and performed at a lower level than when he was a wide receiver previous. While Morris is certainly a project, he has Jonnu Smith type upside if he can find a good weight to play at which can maximize his athleticism.

Morris added too much weight during his change to tight end, which made him slow and not as quick but if he can find a medium between that and the wide receiver weight he has makes for an intriguing prospect. While Morris is a project there may be a spot for that on the Bills roster. For more on Morris and his skillset check out his UDFA player profile.

Last season the Buffalo Bills carried four tight ends on the roster in a group which included an undrafted free agent in Reggie Gilliam. Gilliam and starter Dawson Knox are the only two from that group who return leaving spots open. Buffalo signed Jacob Hollister who not only is a lock to make the roster alongside Dawson Knox but also may play a role so similar to what Gilliam did it makes him expendable.

With this a possibility, the other two tight end spots are essentially up for grabs between Nate Becker, Tommy Sweeney, and Morris. Becker has yet to have an offensive snap in the NFL and Sweeney spent all of last season on the PUP with lingering side effects of COVID-19. With all this taken into account, Morris has a really good shot to make the roster outright. If he does not make the roster I would fully expect him to be on the practice squad as a developing player.

Prediction: Makes the 53-Man Roster (TE4)
