Buffalo Bills fantasy outlook: Josh Allen

Last year’s finish

Josh Allen has certainly defied the odds and has been one of the absolute stars of the 2018 NFL draft along with Baker Mayfield and Lamar Jackson. Allen finished as the top fantasy quarterback last season, if not within the top three depending upon ranking criteria.

My personal stats projection for this year:

This is tough. For a team that is so pass-heavy, Allen sure did have 8 rushing touchdowns last season.  I can see Allen pushing for over 4.800 yards and 40 touchdowns through the air, and about 300 yards and 6 touchdowns rushing. I believe the Bills will try to let the RB’s take more carries inside the red zone.

2020 Average draft position:

Allen was drafted around the 9th overall pick in a multitude of fantasy databases, and that seems right and most likely where he’ll fall again this year. The potential he has to be the guy to deliver you to fantasy football glory makes him arguably the league’s top fantasy QB once again.

Final verdict: Absolutely must own

I’d put Allen over Mahomes this season just because of Mahomes’ new offensive line and there isn’t a solid rapport between those two units just yet. Also, the Bills defense has yet to improve its pass rush, so opposing QB’s having time to get yards and points may put the team into playing from behind.

Trending. Training camp battles to watch. light

Allen scored seven of his 8 rushing touchdowns within the red zone this season, something that cannot be overlooked as most leagues give more points for rushing touchdowns than passing. Entertain the thought of him being your QB1 if he falls to you. You won’t be disappointed this year with Allen, along with most of the Buffalo Bills fantasy outlook.
