Buffalo Bills fantasy outlook: Stefon Diggs

Last year’s finish:

Unless you lived under a rock last year, we know Stefon Diggs was one of the top five, maybe top three WR’s in any league out there. He led the NFL in receptions and receiving yards. The only way Diggs can increase his and the Buffalo Bills fantasy outlook is to get closer to DaVantae Adam’s league-leading 18 receiving touchdowns from last season.

My personal stats projection for this year:

Diggs hauls in 110 receptions, 1476 yards, and 10 touchdowns this year. The yards regress a bit as Beasley gets more this year as well.  I’m expecting the Bills to have clinched a playoff spot/seeding that will be mostly locked in late in the year, thus having the Bills run the ball more.

2020 Average draft position:

Last year, Diggs was WR23 in drafts, coming off the board around pick 57 overall. This year he shouldn’t get out of the first two rounds in all formats. If you are fortunate enough to pick last in the first round, he is definitely part of your first “snake” picks in the draft.

Final verdict: Absolutely must have

Diggs is an absolute no-brainer, and a first-rounder depending on how many people are in your leagues. Now, this always brings up the debate of RB vs. WR early on. Don’t let the early 2000’s fantasy leagues derail your train of thought- wide receivers are gobbling up the points and more reliable than RB’s.

However, be smart about where you are in that first round. Make sure you are getting the player that is right for your pick and league.
