Tight End
Dawson Knox vs. Jacob Hollister
The Buffalo Bills didn’t get as much as they were hoping for from the tight end position last season and this was a position that Brandon Beane specifically mentioned as hoping to improve.
While the Bills did add free agent Jacob Hollister he isn’t necessarily a player that would be guaranteed to step into the starting role over Dawson Knox. This is setting up to be a really interesting position battle for the starting tight end position, although if the Bills run more 12 personnel both players will see playing time.
The biggest question is how much improvement Dawson Knox can make from last year to training camp and into this season. This past year he did improve in some areas, specifically dropped passes, and became more of a red zone threat for this offense. If he continues to improve, the job should be his but the Bills do have another option with Jacob Hollister if that doesn’t happen.
