Casey Hayward
Another veteran cornerback that the Buffalo Bills could be interested in is Casey Hayward, who was released by the Los Angeles Chargers. Hayward started his career with the Green Bay Packers, who drafted him in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft, and he spent four seasons with the team.
However, it wasn’t until he joined the Chargers that he really developed into one of the better corners in the NFL. He would go on to make two Pro Bowls with the Chargers in 2016 and 2017 and even led the league in interceptions in 2016 with seven.
This past season Hayward had 41 total tackles, one interceptions, and eight passes defended in 14 games and 13 starts.
He may not have the Super Bowl experience as Richard Sherman but he is a veteran cornerback that could help the position. At 31 years old, he may not have many years left but a one-year deal where he can compete for the starting job on a Super Bowl caliber team is something that both sides may be interested in.
