Wide Receivers

Players to Watch: Jaelon Darden, Dazz Newsome, Marlon Williams

The Buffalo Bills don’t necessarily need to address the wide receiver position but when looking at the players they have, they may want to add someone for the future. The Bills have one of the most talented, and deepest wide receiver groups in the league currently but Cole Beasley is towards the end of his career, and players like Emmanuel Sanders and Isaiah McKenzie are playing on one-year deals.

At this point in the NFL Draft, the Bills should be focusing on the slot receiver position and finding that eventual replacement for Beasley. All four players listed are expected to be slot receivers in the NFL but bring something very different.

Jaelon Darden is smaller but is a fast receiver while Dazz Newsome is smaller but gets separation with good route running and quickness. As for Marlon Williams, he is a bigger receiver in the slot and could be more of a red zone target for Josh Allen.

It is also worth noting that Darden and Newson in particular could also contribute to special teams as they have experience as returners.
