Buffalo Bills: 5 teams to watch in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft
New Orleans Saints (28th overall)
The final team that fans should pay extra attention to is the New Orleans Saints at 28th overall. The Saints lost a number of players on the defensive side of the ball and at three areas that the Bills could be targeting as well with their first pick.
Starting at cornerback, the Saints still have Marshon Lattimore but lost Janoris Jenkins, who played alot of nickel for them, after they had to release him to help get under the salary cap. While they need to replace Jenkins, they also have Patrick Robinson as the starting corner on the other side of the field. He is 33 years old and the Saints may want to add his replacement with this pick.
They also lost one of their top pass rushers in Trey Hendrickson, who signed with the New York Jets in free agency. It wouldn’t be surprising to see them add the best EDGE on the board which could impact the Bills plans.
Similar to the Baltimore Ravens, this is a place where fans should be rooting for the Saints to take a wide receiver. The Saints no longer have Drew Brees under center and with really Michael Thomas being the only established receiver, they could look to add another playmaker to help Jameis Winston.
