6. Tight End

Similar to the running back position, the tight end position is one that it would be nice to upgrade but there are only a few players who could make an immediate impact. After Kyle Pitts, who is likely a Top 10 pick, and Pat Freiermuth there aren’t many who could have an impact as a rookie.

The other thing is that for the Buffalo Bills, while an upgrade would be great, they have been able to get by without a big threat at the position. They still have Dawson Knox, who showed some improvement from his rookie year to last year, and is also still learning the position. If he takes that next step, this is a position that doesn’t become much of a need.

However, the Bills did give themselves a backup plan by signing free agent Jacob Hollister to compete and push for that starting job. When considering how many quality wide receivers they have, and the drop off after the Top 2 tight ends in this class, this is another one that it wouldn’t be surprising if they didn’t address during the 2021 NFL Draft.
