Christian Barmore

The final player on this list is defensive tackle Christian Barmore, who the NFL believes will be a first round pick after he was invited to attend the NFL Draft in Cleveland. Barmore had a breakout season with the University of Alabama last year with eight sacks and 9.5 tackles for a loss in 11 games.

While he should be a productive player in the NFL, he wouldn’t bring anything new to the Buffalo Bills that they don’t already have. The Bills should be looking to add a defensive tackle in the 2021 NFL Draft but they need a bigger tackle, one who can anchor the defensive line and clog running lanes.

While Barmore can do some of that, he is more of a three-tech or a tackle who will get penetration and get after the quarterback. This is already the role that Ed Oliver is playing and for the team to use another first round pick on the same type of player wouldn’t make sense.

The addition of Barmore on this list isn’t due to him not being a good player but more that he doesn’t bring something different to this defense that they don’t already have.
