Mitchell Trubisky’s Contract
When discussing the move to sign Mitchell Trubisky, the deal itself can’t be overlooked. The Bills were able to agree to a one-year deal worth $2.5 million. When considering some of the other deals this offseason at quarterback, like Andy Dalton and Ryan Fitzpatrick each receiving one-year deals worth $10 million and Jacoby Brissett signing a one-year deal worth $5 million, this is a steal for what the Bills are getting.
One of the reasons the Buffalo Bills were able to get such a great deal is what they have built in Western New York over the past few seasons. General manager Brandon Beane even hinted at the fact that this is essentially a reset for Trubisky and he left money on the table from other teams to come to the Bills.
The fact the team gets an experienced backup at the most important position with the contract they agreed to, makes this an excellent move.
