Buffalo Bills: 6 moves they should make before the start of free agency
Sign Jared Cook or Kyle Rudolph
While it would be nice to think about Hunter Henry or Jonnu Smith in this offense, I believe the Buffalo Bills are not ready to move on from Dawson Knox quite yet. When the drafted him in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft, they knew they had a player who had all the physical tools but was inexperienced.
In the past two years, Dawson Knox hasn’t completely stepped into the role of starting tight end but has shown enough that he could in the coming years. That is why it makes sense for the Bills to go out and add a veteran tight end this offseason to pair with Knox and also take some pressure off him.
Fortunately, the Buffalo Bills could address this need before free agency even starts with Kyle Rudolph and Jared Cook both recently been released. Both players are in the latter part of their careers but have shown they can still be productive.
If the Buffalo Bills were able to add either player with a two-year deal, that could be just enough of a bridge to get this offense to a point where Dawson Knox has continued to develop and is now ready to be the lead tight end.
