Release John Brown

While the final salary cap number hasn’t been announced, the Buffalo Bills are certainly going to have to cut some good players to free up cap space. One of those players who likely will be let go is wide receiver John Brown.

The Bills added John Brown as a free agent in 2019 and he had an excellent first season with the team with over 1,000 receiving yards and six touchdowns. This past season though was a different story as injuries slowed him down and he finished with only 458 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

The fact that he wasn’t as productive, combined with the emergence of rookie Gabriel Davis, makes this a logical move. If the Buffalo Bills were to release Brown, it would create $7.9 million in cap space with only $1.6 million in dead cap, according to Spotrac.
