Washington Football Team

The next team on this list was technically a playoff team but that was because there was one team from the NFC East that had to go to the playoffs. The Washington Football Team finished first in the NFC East with a 7-9 record and surprisingly played the Tampa Bay Buccaneers very tough in the NFC Wild Card Game.

The strength of their defense lies on the defensive line, led by Chase Young, but their linebacker position is a mess with their top linebackers being Jon Bostic and Cole Holcomb. A player like Matt Milano could really transform that group and be a key part of their defense.

There is also a familiarity with this defense as he would join Ron Rivera, who runs a scheme similar to Sean McDermott from their time together with the Carolina Panthers. In addition to a good scheme fit, they also have plenty of cap space with over $58 million, which is the fourth-highest in the league.
