Nick Easton
Another potential addition to the guard position would be Nick Easton, who was recently released by the New Orleans Saints. He started his career with the Baltimore Ravens and after a stop with the San Francisco 49ers, he joined the Minnesota Vikings.
The story for Easton over the past few seasons has been injuries. He became the full-time starter at left guard in 2017 but saw his season cut short with a broken ankle. Then in 2018, he was placed on injured reserve during training camp due to a neck injury.
He spent the past two seasons with the New Orleans Saints but saw this past season cut short due to multiple concussions. At this point, Easton might be better suited as a reserve or someone who can compete for a starting job but shouldn’t be viewed as a player who steps into a starting role right away.
