If Brandon Beane still believes Dawson Knox can develop into a top tier tight end, he may consider bringing in a veteran for one or two years to take the pressure off Knox. A player like Jared Cook could be the perfect solution.

Cook will be 34 years old by the time the 2021 season begins but has shown he is still a very productive player. In the past three seasons, which included one with the Raiders and the past two with the Saints, Cook has 2,105 receiving yards and 22 touchdowns.

However, a player like Cook only makes sense for the Buffalo Bills if they believe Dawson Knox is the long term answer. When he was selected, Knox was viewed as a player who has all the physical tools but needed time to develop. If the Bills were to add a player like Cook it could give him that time.
