Quinton Jefferson

Season Stats: 16 games played (4 starts), 23 total tackles, 3 tackles for a loss, 3 sacks, 6 QB hits

In addition to Vernon Butler, the Buffalo Bills added Quinton Jefferson for depth at defensive tackle but also to provide a pass rush along the defensive line. During his time with the Seattle Seahawks, Jefferson showed he could get steady pressure with limited snaps.

This past season, Jefferson did do some of that but not nearly at the same rate he did with the Seahawks. However, the absence of Lotulelei can not be stated enough as Jefferson saw his role shift a bit. The fact he didn’t have a big tackle like Lotulelei creates more double teams for players like Oliver and Jefferson.

Similar to Butler, Jefferson is also a potential candidate to be cut this offseason to create cap space. However, knowing the skill set that Jefferson has I believe he has a better chance to return next season.
