Offensive Tackle

Dion Dawkins

This was the first season for left tackle Dion Dawkins coming off his big contract extension in the offseason. The former second round pick started all 16 regular season games and played 95% of all offensive snaps this past year.

There was no doubt that the strength of this offensive line was on the ends and Dawkins, protecting Josh Allen’s blindside, had another excellent season. He finished as the 14th rated tackle with an overall grade of 80.6 and Pro Football Focus credited him with six sacks allowed.

With all the uncertainty the Buffalo Bills have along the offensive line this offseason, they are fortunate to know they have a very good player at left tackle.

Grade: A-

Daryl Williams

On the other side of the line was Daryl Williams, who had a bounce back year with the Buffalo Bills. The team signed him as a free agent in the offseason on a one-year deal after he was coming off an injury that cost him almost the entire 2018 season and a down year last year.

He would end up winning the right tackle job and starting all 16 games for the Bills at the position and played 96% of the offensive snaps. Pro Football Focus credited him with only three sacks allowed all season.

The way Williams played this year is going to give the Buffalo Bills a tough decision about whether or not to bring him back. The way he played he certainly has earned a long-term deal.
