Harrison Phillips
Last year, Harrison Phillips looked to be on his way to having a breakout season before suffering a torn ACL in Week 4. He returned in time for training camp but was struggling to make the same impact he was prior to his injury last year.
There was a point in the middle of the season where Phillips was actually a healthy scratch. After the bye week, Phillips was active but struggled to get more than 35% of the defensive snaps the remainder of the year.
On Saturday night, Phillips looked to get more of a chance to play after Vernon Butler left briefly with an injury during the game. That was the opportunity he needed as the third-year defensive tackle put together his best game of the season.
Harrison Phillips was a force in the middle of the defensive line and worked alongside the defensive ends in keeping Lamar Jackson contained and holding him to only 34 rushing yards. He finished the game with four total tackles and one QB hit.
The Buffalo Bills have gotten pretty good production from the defensive tackle position but if Harrison Phillips is able to continue to play like this, it makes the interior of the line that much stronger.
