Linebackers

When Lamar Jackson would escape the pocket, it was on the linebackers to make the play. On the opening drive, the Ravens were able to pick up yards on the grounds in bunches thanks to misdirection and some over-pursuit of Tremaine Edmunds and Matt Milano.

However, after that drive these two linebackers settled down and consistently made plays from sideline to sideline. Edmunds finished the game with nine total tackles and one pass defended while Milano had seven total tackles and two passes defended.

The play of specifically Milano in pass coverage against Mark Andrews played a big role in the defenses’ success on Saturday night. The Ravens lean heavily on their tight end, which is something the Bills have struggled to defend at times, but Andrews finished the game with only four receptions for 28 yards.
