The Buffalo Bills have one of the best passing games in the NFL this season thanks in large part to Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley, two players who were named first-team and second-team All-Pro respectively. Even the play of rookie Gabriel Davis has been generating some buzz as of late.

However, John Brown could be the difference maker for this offense this week against the Ravens. The speedy wide receiver was the Bills best pass catcher last year as he broke 1,000 receiving yards and had six touchdowns.

This season has been a little tougher as Brown has moved into a complementary role and has had to deal with injuries. When he returned in Week 17 against the Miami Dolphins, he looked like last year’s John Brown when he had over 70 receiving yards and a touchdown. However, this past week against the Colts he didn’t make much of an impact as he had zero receptions on four targets.

The way John Brown is able to stretch the field on the outside can really open up the field for the other wide receivers like Diggs and Beasley. By forcing the safeties back to account for Brown, it opens up the short and intermediate routes for the other wide receivers to get the ball quick and pick up yards after the catch.

A big week from John Brown will go a long way in helping this offense move the ball against a tough Ravens’ defense.
