Buffalo Bills: Position grades from win over the Indianapolis Colts
Secondary
The Buffalo Bills’ secondary really didn’t have an answer to the passing attack for the Indianapolis Colts. Philip Rivers finished the game with 309 passing yards and two touchdowns. This was the first time since Week 10 that he broke the 300 yard mark and the first time in the past two weeks with multiple touchdown passes.
The Colts did a good job attacking this defense with crossing routes and finding holes in this secondary. The rookie Michael Pittman was the Colts’ best receiver this week as he finished the game with five receptions for 90 yards and just missed on a touchdown reception at the end of the first half.
The lack of a pass rush this week certainly didn’t help the secondary but the Buffalo Bills will need better performances if they hope to continue deep into the playoffs.
