This was a big week for Tyler Bass and Corey Bojorquez who made big plays for this team that helped the Buffalo Bills come away with the win. Tyler Bass, in his first career playoff game, made two field goals and one of those was from 54 yards out. He also was perfect on extra point attempts by making all three.
As for Corey Bojorquez, he saw an increase in work, especially in the first half. He finished the game with four punts for an average of 47 yards but had only one that was downed inside the 20. However, this wasn’t necessarily his fault as the Buffalo Bills were starting drives with really bad field position in the first half.
Buffalo Bills Wild Card Game Grade
Even though the Buffalo Bills were the two seed and playing at home, they entered this week’s game with extra pressure. They were trying to erase a 25-year drought between playoff wins.
The Indianapolis Colts came in with a great gameplan and in the first half executed it almost flawlessly. However, the Bills were able to capitalize on a missed opportunity at the end of the first half and were able to steal the lead going into halftime.
In the second half, the offense came alive and they looked like they were able to run away with the game. The Colts though didn’t give up and continued to push this Buffalo Bills team.
There are certainly some things they need to work on and correct before next week’s game but the good news is that there is a game next week for the Bills to prepare for. At this point in the season, that is the most important thing.
