Defensive Line

While the Buffalo Bills offensive line won the battle in the trenches, the same can’t be said for the defensive line. The good from this week’s game was that the Bills did a pretty good job of containing Jonathan Taylor who had only 78 rushing yards and a touchdown. While this may sound like a lot, when considering Taylor had over 250 rushing yards in the regular-season finale and it took 21 carries to get to 78 yards, this was certainly a win.

The defensive line also came up with a big stop at the end of the first half when the Colts ran Taylor outside on a third down at the one. It was the play of Mario Addison that forced the running back wide and he was stopped behind the line.

However, the bad this week was the pass rush which was almost non-existent. They finished the game with no sacks and only one QB hit. The best way to slow down some of these passing attacks is to get pressure on quarterbacks and the coaching staff will try to find a fix before next week’s game.
