Tight Ends

The fact that the Buffalo Bills had their entire wide receiver position, Josh Allen didn’t have to lean much on the tight ends in this game. However, Dawson Knox made one of the big plays early in the game when Josh Allen looked to be running on a designed run near the goal line but stopped and was able to throw a pass to Knox for the Bills’ first touchdown.

It is hard to grade a position when they aren’t heavily involved but the touchdown certainly helps the grade here.

Offensive Line

The strength of the Colts defense is their defensive line and this week, for the most part, the Buffalo Bills offensive line won the battle in the trenches. The Buffalo Bills quarterback was sacked only twice and hit six times during the course of the game. He also seemingly had plenty of time to let plays develop and get the ball to the receivers.

It is especially surprising to see DeForest Buckner, who is one of the best defensive tackles in the NFL, finish the game with only two total tackles and no sacks. The interior of the line (Ike Boettger, Mitch Morse, Jon Feliciano) deserves a great deal of credit for slowing down Buckner.
