Buffalo Bills: Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley questionable for Wild Card game

The Buffalo Bills have two of their starting wide receivers questionable entering this weekend’s game.

The Buffalo Bills held their final practice of the week and appear to be pretty relaxed heading into this weekend. One of the reasons may be is that they are heading into the game against the Indianapolis Colts with very little injury concerns.

On Thursday, the Bills released their final injury report for the week and had only two players, Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley, with injury designations. Both wide receivers were listed as questionable for this game.

Even though Stefon Diggs didn’t practice on Wednesday, there didn’t seem to be much concern about his availability for this game. He made it clear when talking with the media on Wednesday that he was fine and this was not a serious injury.

This is certainly good news as Diggs is one of the best wide receivers in the game and is coming off a regular season where he set a number of franchise records and led the league in receptions and receiving yards. He should see his normal workload and be Josh Allen’s primary target against the Colts.

The fact that Cole Beasley was listed as questionable is a bit surprising but is also promising for his availability for this game. He suffered a knee injury towards the end of the game against the New England Patriots. He didn’t practice at all leading up to the game against the Miami Dolphins, which he ultimately was inactive for.

This week, Beasley did not practice on Tuesday or Wednesday but was limited on Thursday. Hopefully, he is able to return but if he is not able to, or not able to play his normal workload, then Isaiah McKenzie would likely step in.

The coaching staff could also look to Kenny Stills who was recently signed to the practice squad but would be a veteran receiver who has experience in the slot.
