Here are four starters that will need to play well for the Buffalo Bills to have a shot at a Super Bowl title
Playoff football is here. And the Buffalo Bills find themselves in an opportune position to make a deep postseason run. The Bills enter the playoffs as the two seed and are set to face the Indianapolis Colts. The fact they secured the two seed, if they win this weekend they are set to host another playoff game.
If the Bills hope to advance in the playoffs, key starters must make major contributions for the team to prosper. If all goes well, the Bills could find themselves with a legitimate shot at a Super Bowl berth– playing in the AFC Championship game. Their first conference championship appearance since 1993. Here are four starters that will need to play well for the Buffalo Bills to make a deep postseason run.
Levi Wallace
The corner position opposite Tre’Davious White should be high on the Bills list to address in the upcoming draft. Levi Wallace has been serviceable for Buffalo thus far and Sean McDermott is apparently unwilling to start anyone else opposite White. This means Wallace must make plays when targeted to limit teams from consistently attacking him in the playoffs.
Over the course of the 2020 season, Wallace has given up 14.1 yards per completion and a 55 completion percentage to opposing quarterbacks. However, in the three games prior to Week 17, quarterbacks have targeted Wallace 15 times but have only completed four passes. As the defense has rounded into form over the latter part of the season, they will need Wallace to continue this type of production to have any shot at dethroning the reigning Super Bowl champs.
