Matt Barkley
It might be worth to give Josh Allen one series so he can stay in rhythm, going through pre-game warmups and the start of a game. However, this team is going to go as far as Allen takes them this postseason and there is no reason to risk any kind of injury this week against the Dolphins.
The Buffalo Bills have been fortunate that Josh Allen has stayed healthy for most of the season but that also means Matt Barkley hasn’t seen much playing time this year. He has appeared in four games this year but two of those it was for one snap.
In the other two games, Barkley has thrown a combined eight pass attempts, completing five for 33 yards. This is why it would be good for the backup quarterback to see most of the playing time since it has been almost a year since his last extended game action.
If the Bills give Josh Allen the opening series, it would be good for Barkley to get the next series with the starters just to have some familiarity but after that, the coaching staff should limit the playing time of almost the entire starting offense.
