These are the odds, lines and trends for the Buffalo Bills entering Week 16.

The Buffalo Bills remain hot while stacking up dominant wins on their current four game winning streak. Last week’s easy victory over the Denver Broncos improved both their records against the spread (ATS) and cashing the over. Those records now stand at 9-5 and 10-4 respectively. A one hundred dollar bettor would have netted $318 ATS and $509 on the over if betting each week.

With the sportsbooks across the country locking in on spreads and totals for the NFL Week 16, the Action Network is reporting the spread to be Bills -7 with the over set at 46.5 points currently versus the New England Patriots. The Patriots on the season are 6-8 ATS and an even worse 4-10 record on cashing the over.

Monday nights primetime matchup will mark the sixth time both teams will appear in primetime in 2020. The Bills have won three of those previous matchups while the Patriots have won only two. The Bills also have a better record ATS at 3-2 compared to 2-3 and cashing the over three times while the Patriots have only done so two times.

According to the Football Zebras, referee Ron Torbert is assigned to this division matchup. Under head coach Sean McDermott, the Bills are 1-1-1 ATS and 1-2 on the over. The Week 6 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs was refereed by Torbert and the Bills not only lost the game, but failed to cover the spread or cash the over.

In four Patriots regular season games under head coach Bill Belichick Torbert has been making the calls and in those games they are an impressive 4-0 in both ATS and the over. Additionally, they won all four of those games including a 2015 matchup versus the Bills. That day the over of 45.5 easily cashed with 72 points being scored.

In the 14 games in 2020 with Torbert as the ref the over is 4-10. Torbet has yet to officiate a primetime game in 2020.

In seven games against the Patriots under McDermott the Bills are 1-6. The lone win was earlier this season in Week 8 with the over cashing while failing to cover the spread. Overall, ATS record is 2-4-1 with the over being 3-4.

With the Bills having secured their first AFC East division title since 1995 both teams were successful in cashing the over. As previously mentioned this years team is currently 10-4 while in 1995 the team was 10-5-1. The high scoring games are back in Western New York. Covering the spread that season went 8-8.

The Buffalo Bills will look to sweep the season series against the Patriots on Monday night for the first time since 1999. The Patriots haven’t been swept by an AFC East team since 2000 when both the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets accomplished that.
