The Buffalo Bills secure a 34-24 victory over the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football.
For the first time since 1999, the Buffalo Bills earned a victory on Monday Night Football after they beat the San Francisco 49ers 34-24 in Week 13. The story coming out of this game is going to be the play of quarterback Josh Allen, who had one of his best games of the season.
The Bills’ starting quarterback finished the game completing 32 of 40 passes for 375 passing yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions. This was Allen’s sixth game this season with over 300 passing yards and his third game with four passing touchdowns.
The Bills got off to a fast start in this game as they drove down the field and got to the one-yard line. However, they were stopped and turned the ball over on downs. It was then the 49ers who drove down the field and it was the Buffalo Bills’ turn to stop them at the one-yard line on fourth down.
The momentum was short-lived as the handoff between Josh Allen and Zack Moss was fumbled and recovered by the 49ers. They converted shortly after to take a seven point lead.
This didn’t stop the Buffalo Bills as from that point on they would control the flow of the game and seemed to move the ball at will. The offense had at least six drives that went 69 or more yards and would outscore the 49ers 34-17 the rest of the way.
It wasn’t only the offense that played well against the 49ers as the defense had one of their best games as well in Week 13. The Bills finished with two interceptions, one by Micah Hyde that he returned to five the yard line and one by Tre’Davious White that he made on the goal line as the 49ers were about to score.
The Buffalo Bills now move to 9-3 and stay one game ahead of the Miami Dolphins in the race for the AFC East. They now head home to face the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are coming off their first loss of the season.
