The Buffalo Bills didn’t practice on Thursday but released an estimated injury report.

The Buffalo Bills were off on Thursday and didn’t practice however they did release an injury report. The injury report is only an estimate but there are two important pieces to note from this report.

The first is that John Brown was given a did not practice designation for Thursday’s practice. The Bills starting wide receiver has been dealing with injuries almost all season, most recently though was an ankle injury suffered against the Arizona Cardinals.

The fact that Brown missed practice on Wednesday coming out of the bye is a good indication of the severity of the injury. He has been able to play through some injuries but at this point, it would be surprising if he plays Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers.

If John Brown is not able to play, the Bills will likely turn to rookie Gabriel Davis to step into the starting lineup. The fourth round pick has shown flashes, especially early on, and has 19 receptions, 275 receiving yards, and three touchdowns.

The other positive from this injury report is that the back injury for defensive end Jerry Hughes doesn’t appear to be too serious. He was limited in practice on Wednesday but it was estimated that he would have been a full participant today.

In addition, Mario Addison didn’t have a designation after sitting out practice yesterday for a vet rest day.

This is certainly good news as the Bills are going up against Justin Herbert, who is near the top of the league in passing yards. It will be important to get pressure on the rookie quarterback and make him uncomfortable in the pocket and Hughes and Addison are likely to play a major role in their success in this area.
