The Buffalo Bills announced their inactives for Week 9 against the Seattle Seahawks.
This week, unlike past weeks, there weren’t many surprised when the Buffalo Bills announced their inactives for today’s game against the Seattle Seahawks. The reason was that the Bills ruled out a number of players on Friday and had to decide on a few additional players.
On Friday, the Bills designated cornerback Josh Norman, running back Taiwan Jones and T.J. Yeldon, and center Mitch Morse as out due to injuries. They also ruled linebacker Matt Milano out but on Saturday placed him on injured reserve and that is why he is not listed as an inactive this week.
The Bills then had to decide on three additional players to make inactive and they are quarterback Jake Fromm, tight end Lee Smith and defensive tackle Harrison Phillips. The biggest storyline among the inactives has to be that Phillips once again is inactive. He entered the season with high expectations but has been rather disappointing this year.
The Buffalo Bills had four players listed as questionable on Friday with Cody Ford, Darryl Johnson, Dawson Knox, and Vernon Butler. All four are active for today’s game with Cody Ford probably being the biggest name. He will likely return to his starting left guard spot while Jon Feliciano starts at center for this game.
This also marks the return of tight end Dawson Knox who has missed the past three weeks due to injuries, as well as being placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list during that span. It will be interesting to see how much playing time he gets, especially considering Tyler Kroft has played well in Knox’s absence.
One position worth watching is linebacker as the Buffalo Bills are rather thin without Matt Milano and Tyrel Dodson, who are both on injured reserve. This game does mark the return of Del’Shawn Phillips, who has primarily played special teams but could see some time at linebacker today.
