Bills defense continues to struggle

This has continued to be a storyline for the Buffalo Bills as the defense really struggles to slow down the opposing offense. Last week against the New York Jets was their best performance, especially in the second half when the Jets only had four total yards.

The hope was that they would turn the corner with that performance. However, in a week where the Patriots were without their top two wide receivers and Cam Newton, who has struggled this year, they were moving the ball pretty much at will.

The run defense, in particular, this week was concerning as Damien Harris was able to pick up 102 rushing yards while Cam Newton added another 54.

While the defense made the play when they needed to, with Justin Zimmer forcing a fumble on the final drive, the Buffalo Bills are going to be facing a much tougher challenge next week against the explosive offense of the Seattle Seahawks. Their performance today just won’t be enough next week.
