Cam Newton

The former MVP was picked to replace Tom Brady as quarterback of the New England Patriots. The early performance by Cam Newton appeared to be another smart move by Belichick after the quarterback started the year with five total touchdowns and one interception in the first two weeks, including 397 passing yards against the Seattle Seahawks.

However, the past three games Cam Newton hasn’t looked great. He has two total touchdowns and six interceptions. He hasn’t thrown for more than 162 passing yards in a game the past three games.

While Cam Newton hasn’t looked great, the Buffalo Bills can’t take him lightly. He is a former MVP for a reason and that is because he was at one time one of the most dynamic playmakers in the NFL.

He can beat teams through the air as well as on the ground. This is why it will be important for the Bills defensive line to be disciplined by setting the edge and filling running lanes to not allow Cam Newton to scramble.
