Buffalo Bills: 4 teams they should call before the trade deadline

These are four teams that the Buffalo Bills should call about potential trade discussions prior to the trade deadline.

The Buffalo Bills ended their losing streak at two after an 18-10 victory over the New York Jets in Week 7. There is no question that this team is good enough to make the playoffs as is. However, if the Buffalo Bills hope to make a deep playoff run, general manager Brandon Beane should be looking for ways to improve this roster.

There aren’t glaring holes or positions that have to be addressed before the deadline. However, there are positions that could see an upgrade and these are four teams that have players potentially available for trade at multiple positions the Bills could be in the market for.

Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals appear to have the foundation for long term success with Joe Burrow, Joe Mixon, and Tyler Boyd. However, at 1-5-1 the Bengals likely won’t be competing for a playoff spot this year and will focus on building to the future to support these young players.

The Bengals have a number of aging veterans who likely won’t be apart of that long-term plan that could be immediate impact players for the Buffalo Bills. Those players are primarily on their defensive line with tackle Geno Atkins and defensive end Carlos Dunlap.

Both these players have seen their playing time dramatically decreased the past few weeks but on the Bills defense would be either starters or key rotational players. If the Bills are able to fit the salaries of these two players under the cap, they would be great additions.
