Special Teams

The grade for special teams is mostly going to be driven by the performance by Tyler Bass, who accounted for all the Buffalo Bills points with six field goals, which tied the franchise record but he also missed two field goal attempts. If Bass made those two field goal attempts, the Jets would not have had a chance to tie the game on the final drive.

Another strong performer this week was returner Andre Roberts that had two kick returns for 80 yards, including a long of 58 yards, and three punt returns for 23 yards including a long of 15. The Bills didn’t have to punt once all game and this was due to Roberts giving them great field position that got them close to field goal range on almost every drive.

Buffalo Bills Week 7 Final Grade

This is a tough game to grade because this was a game that the Buffalo Bills should have won and frankly should have won by more. However, there were a couple of times that almost guaranteed touchdowns came off the board or didn’t happen.

The offense got back to moving the ball almost at ease and Josh Allen was a big part of that with his arm and leading the passing attack. As for the defense, they got off to a slow start by allowing the Jets score 10 points through the first quarter and a half.

However, they eventually locked the Jets offense down, especially in the second half, and it didn’t matter the Buffalo Bills were settling for field goals with the way they were playing. At the end of the day, the Bills did what they needed to get the win and now enter Week 8 with some momentum.
