Sign Bilal Powell

Buffalo Bills know Bilal Powell well as he spent the past nine season with the New York Jets but is currently a free agent. While he was never really a full-time starter, Powell still was productive with 3,675 rushing yards, 15 rushing touchdowns along with 1,600 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns for his career.

The question for some of these free agents is does Powell provide more to this offense than say T.J. Yeldon or even Singletary and Moss. The answer is likely no but if the Buffalo Bills are hoping for more competition or trying to change things up, a veteran like Powell could make sense.

He is a running back that has shown to be effective in a role where he doesn’t command a majority of the touches. He also has proven he can be an effective pass catcher out of the backfield and be a good veteran in this position room for their younger running backs.
