Trade for Kerryon Johnson

This idea would have to require some scouting and trusting that the Buffalo Bills could get the most out of running back Kerryon Johnson. The Detroit Lions selected Johnson in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft however he struggled to stay healthy his first two years. This season he appears buried on the depth chart behind Adrian Peterson and D’Andre Swift.

However, when Johnson was on the field his first two years he showed enough flashes of his potential that it could be worth the gamble.

If the Buffalo Bills were to add Johnson, it would not be a sure thing like a Le’Veon Bell or James Conner but among the other running backs on this list, he probably has the highest ceiling if everything comes together.
