Gabriel Davis

The Buffalo Bills entered this game without starting wide receiver John Brown due to injury. This opened the door for rookie Gabriel Davis to get his first start and he would actually go on to play every offensive snap in the game against the Titans.

This speaks to the confidence the coaching staff has in the rookie already at this point in the season. The Bills could have potentially put Isaiah McKenzie, who was their starter last year, into the game in place of Davis or even have them share snaps.

However, it was Davis that got all the work and would end up finishing with five receptions and 58 yards. The rookie’s best play though didn’t show up in the stats which was on an early first quarter drive where Josh Allen threw a pass over the middle and Davis went up and caught it at the goal line for what would have been a touchdown.

However, an illegal shift penalty on the Bills took the play away and the team eventually found the end zone with McKenzie.

There is no question that Gabriel Davis is going to be a big part of this offense once he becomes the starter.
