Daryl Williams vs. Maxx Crosby

The Las Vegas Raiders secondary is not going to be at full strength and one of the things that can help this group is getting steady pressure on Josh Allen and not giving him time in the pocket. This will likely fall on defensive end Maxx Crosby, who is the Raiders best pass rusher.

Last year as a rookie, Crosby was able to rack up 10 sacks and after being shut out the first two weeks he had two sacks in Week 3 against the New England Patriots.

The offensive linemen likely to draw the assignment of Crosby will be right tackle Daryl Williams, who joined the Buffalo Bills as a free agent in the offseason. Williams, a former Carolina Panther, was coming off a few down seasons due to injuries and position changes.

However, he is back at right tackle and was a bit of a surprise to be starting but with Cody Ford moving to guard it created an opportunity for him. He has played very well through the first three weeks and done a good job anchoring that right side of the line.

The Raiders have not been able to get much pressure on the quarterback this year with only one sack outside of Maxx Crosby’s two. If the Bills, specifically Williams, can limit Crosby’s impact then Josh Allen should have plenty of time to make some big throws.
