Tyler Bass

For the second straight week, Tyler Bass was perfect on his attempts. He was not asked to make any field goals but made all five extra point attempts.

One other thing that Bass has done well, and is sometimes overlooked, is with his strong leg he is getting touchbacks on kickoffs at a very high rate. He has had 15 of his 18 kickoffs end up as touchbacks and that 83% rate is significantly higher than Stephen Hauschka‘s 51.3% percentage in four years with the Buffalo Bills.

Considering that other teams are not given the opportunity to improve their field position past 25 yards is a key piece in the position battle during the course of a game for the Buffalo Bills.

While it may have been a bit of a risk going with a rookie at a pivotal position and after a shaky first game in his NFL career, Tyler Bass continues to show the Buffalo Bills made the right choice naming him their starter.
