Buffalo Bills Special Teams

All eyes were on Tyler Bass and the Bills rookie kicker responded with a perfect day as he made his only field goal attempt, a 39-yard field goal, and all four extra point attempts. As for Corey Bojorquez, he had a little busier day than Week 1 and finished with four punts for 164 yards with two punts inside the 20-yard line.

While Andre Roberts didn’t have the same level of success as Week 1, he still had a good day with two punts for an average of nine yards returned per punt. This is a group that did exactly what was expected of them and that is why they were able to get the grade they did.

Buffalo Bills Week 2 Grade

Over the past few years, it has been the defense that has helped carry this team to wins. Their performances were a big reason for two playoff trips in the past three years.

However, on Sunday it was clear that when the defense is not playing at a level fans are used to this Buffalo Bills offense is good enough to get the job done. The performance of Josh Allen and this passing attack is something fans haven’t seen probably since the days of Drew Bledsoe in the early 2000s.

The absence of Tremaine Edmunds and Matt Milano was evident in this game but the Bills showed great resiliency and even when they were down, there was no panic. That is a testament to the coaching staff and the players on this roster.

The Buffalo Bills have some things to work on but have to feel good where they are and how they are performing coming out of this game.
