Buffalo Bills Tight Ends

It wasn’t all good for the Buffalo Bills pass catchers, specifically the tight end position. Undrafted rookie free agent Reggie Gilliam did have a big play as he caught his first career touchdown, which was the first of the game.

However, Dawson Knox struggled with only one reception for 38 yards but ended up fumbling the ball at the end of the play. He also was forced to leave the game due to a concussion.

If Knox is not able to go next week, it will be Tyler Kroft who will step into the starting lineup however he has yet to have a target through the first two weeks.

Buffalo Bills Offensive Line

The performance against the New York Jets wasn’t awful but this group looked much better in Week 2 against the Miami Dolphins. Josh Allen finished the game being sacked only once and the Dolphins only were able to get four QB hits.

The running backs also found more room with an average of 4.8 yards per carry, which is nearly two yards better than Week 1 against the Jets.

It is worth noting that in this game, the Bills were rotating veteran Brian Winters with starter Cody Ford at right guard and Ford with Quinton Spain at left guard late in the game, according to Matt Parrino. It remains to be seen if this was due to the conditions and the coaching staff trying to keep the interior of the line fresh or if they are testing different formations.
