Siran Neal
The Buffalo Bills not only are without Tremaine Edmunds but they are also without Matt Milano, who suffered a hamstring injury against the New York Jets. While Siran Neal won’t be the official replacement, that will be A.J. Klein, he could see his role expand for this game.
One of the reasons is that Klein is not as strong in pass protection as Milano so the coaching staff will need to get a little creative. One of those players that could fill that role is Siran Neal, who has become a pivotal part of this defense. The versatility he has is a tremendous advantage as he has experience at safety but more recently has been playing at nickel and even some outside corner.
The Miami Dolphins have good wide receivers on the outside in DeVante Parker and Preston Williams but tight end Mike Gesicki is an athletic tight end that can create mismatches for defenses.
While Neal is giving up about six inches on Gesicki, he does have the speed and agility to stay with the Dolphins tight end. This is likely the team’s first option in slowing him down in Week 2.
