Buffalo Bills Tight Ends

It was a fairly quiet day for the Buffalo Bills tight ends as Dawson Knox was the only one to make it into the box score as he had two receptions for 26 yards on three targets. The first reception was a screen pass to Knox and then later in the game the tight end made a nice back-shoulder diving catch.

Since the Bills have so many playmakers, it is hard to imagine Knox seeing a high volume of targets and this is what he can expect on a weekly basis. The highlight catch by Knox helps his grade here.

Buffalo Bills Offensive Line

The Buffalo Bills entered this game with a different offensive line than last year, specifically on the right side. The coaching staff kept it quiet who would be starting at right guard and right tackle on their unofficial depth chart. However, when the Bills took the field they had last year’s starter at right tackle, Cody Ford, line up at right guard and free agent addition Daryl Williams line up at right tackle.

While the New York Jets defense has significant issues, their defensive line is the strength of this team. The Bills offensive line had their hands full and certainly struggled to create room for the team’s running backs.

They did a little better job protecting Josh Allen on passing downs but the Bills’ quarterback was sacked three times. The focus this week should be trying to improve the run blocking ahead of Week 2 against the Miami Dolphins.
