Running Back
The Buffalo Bills have used high draft capital each of the past two NFL Drafts at this position and the early signs are pointing to this paying off in a big way. Last year, the team drafted Devin Singletary, who was a third round pick out of Florida Atlantic.
Singletary got off to a slow start due to a hamstring injury that cost him games early last season. However, once he returned he saw his role in this offense expand to the point that he surpassed Frank Gore on the depth chart and was the Buffalo Bills’ featured back.
This past NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills once again went back to the position in the third round by selecting Zack Moss out of Utah. Moss brings a little more power to the position but both players are capable of carrying a majority of the work if necessary.
In addition to these two, the Buffalo Bills also have Christian Wade. The former rugby player joined the Bills last year and made some highlight reel type plays. However, he is still learning the position and while he likely won’t be apart of this offense this year, it would not be surprising to see him be that key third running back behind the other two backs.
