T.J. Yeldon

This is another area where the Buffalo Bills are going to have to make the tough decision of following what they have done in the past or trying to keep the best 53 players. In past seasons, the Buffalo Bills have typically kept four running backs, three that primarily play on offense and then one that focuses on special teams.

However, this year the Buffalo Bills have legitimately two running backs that are expected to get almost all of the work out of the backfield with Devin Singletary and rookie Zack Moss. They also brought back Taiwan Jones, who has done a great job on special teams and was even their captain in 2018.

This now leaves T.J. Yeldon, who joined the Bills last year as a free agent, however he was only active for six games and had 17 carries. He finished the year playing only 14% of their offensive snaps.

There is certainly a case for keeping Yeldon but it centers more around him being an insurance policy if one of the top two running backs get hurt or being that veteran voice in the position room.

However, if the Buffalo Bills are able to keep an Isaiah McKenzie, who theoretically could get weekly touches because of the skill set he brings to this offense, or a player like Yeldon it makes sense to keep the wide receiver.
