Duke Williams/Isaiah McKenzie

Two players that are squarely on the roster bubble is wide receivers Duke Williams and Isaiah McKenzie. These are two players that have played significant roles in this offense at times over the past two years but due to changes made at the position, may struggle to keep their roster spot.

The Bills this offseason brought in Stefon Diggs by trading with the Minnesota Vikings and then drafted Gabriel Davis and Isaiah Hodgins in the NFL Draft. These three, combined with John Brown and Cole Beasley, are almost guaranteed roster spots. This would leave one spot for return specialist Andre Robert to round out the six wide receivers that the Buffalo Bills have typically kept on their 53-man roster.

There is certainly plenty that could change this year and the Bills undoubtedly have the talent at the position to keep seven wide receivers. The question becomes where they would get that roster spot from. The team could also feel someone like Isaiah Hodgins isn’t ready to produce and could try to sneak him onto the practice squad for either Williams or McKenzie.

The unfortunate thing is that both wide receivers have had good camps by all accounts and have made some circus catches. This could end up being a number’s game for both but if they continue to produce it may warrant the team keeping seven wide receivers this year.
