Buffalo Bills: 4 free agents to target at this point in training camp
Logan Ryan
There is no question that this might be a tough sell for Brandon Beane and the Buffalo Bills but adding Logan Ryan, who was one of the best slot corners last year, would be a huge boost for this defense.
The reason that this would be a tough sell is that Ryan has recently been discussing the fact that he views himself as a safety and not a corner. The Buffalo Bills are not in the market for a starting safety but the depth at nickel has to be concerning for the Bills.
The team still has starter Taron Johnson, however he has missed time each of the past two years due to injury. They also have Siran Neal but he is more a big nickel, a player who contributes more against the run and could be more of a liability in coverage.
The only other option on the team is seventh-round draft pick Dane Jackson but considering the Buffalo Bills utilize the nickel defense so much, this could be a gamble.
The addition of Logan Ryan would be an immediate upgrade at nickel and help solidify a secondary that was already pretty good.
