Linebackers (6)

Tremaine Edmunds, Matt Milano, A.J. Klein, Vosean Joseph, Tyler Matakevich, Corey Thompson

The depth at linebacker is lacking experience and this is why the Buffalo Bills likely keep six linebackers but could get by with five if one of the final three performs above expectations.

The coaching staff must determine who will replace Lorenzo Alexander at weakside linebacker and that battle likely comes down to Klein and Jospeh. If Joseph were to win, then Klein could be the primary backup across all three positions and free up that roster spot.

Another big question is the play of Tyler Matakevich, who is a special teams ace but has limited experience on defense. If the coaching staff believe he can step into a starting role if the need were to arise, then Corey Thompson would likely be cut to free up a roster spot, likely along the offensive line.
